I am Burkhard Paul Freund, raised in northern Germany near Kiel. Wildlife has been my interest and my passion since childhood. It was the continent of Africa, which took most of my fascination. So in 1978 I put together every coin I could find and booked a flight to Kenya in Eastern Africa. It was the Massai Mara GR, where I headed for first and where I fell in love with afican wildlife. Numerous trips followed while studying and later working as a researcher in Germany. After moving to the Philippines in 2005 and starting a resort business, focus slightly switched to Southern Africa and Asia. Please follow my wife Cheryl and myself to some places visited and enjoy some gorgeous wildlife we were fortunate enough to encounter. Expect this site to grow with time.
